Hi, my name's Spencer. I live in New Jersey.
All of my projects hosted on this site (itch.io) are (or will be on release) and will remain pay-what-you-can. While I do not condone piracy, and have a strong personal distaste for those who inflate what should remain at best a practical decision into some kind of moral stance, I recognise and am sympathetic to the fact that the traditional pricing scheme for games renders them more difficult to access that what I consider to be reasonable for certain prospective players, for whom their individual purchasing power (or lack thereof) is subject to forces far greater than any one person's control.
My compromise is to offer a two-pronged approach to release.
This is as best as I can come up with to demonstrate my good will towards, and faith in you as the player. While I have no doubt that there'll be a handful of less-than-benevolent actors who may abuse my trust in this matter, truthfully, I don't particularly care; and more importantly, I want to believe that most people are in fact reasonable, and will be able to respect the spirit of this in their own approach. That's really all there is to it.
